When searching for a home to buy in Lake Tahoe, several factors play a role. Size, price and a large fenced yard aren’t the only features people think of when searching for a home. Location and the amenities close to these locations are huge factors people keep in mind before they even start searching. Schools, specifically, are a main priority for home buyers. Now let’s take a look at what people would be willing to give up just so their children would be able to get into a specific school district. 42% would forgo nearby parks and trails, which luckily doesn’t apply to those of us living Lake Tahoe because we are surrounded by those. 44% would give up a bonus room while 62.4% would give up a pool or spa if it meant their kids went to a certain school. 50.6% would even give up accessibility to shopping. Which, once again doesn’t apply as Lake Tahoe is a smaller, world class destination that has businesses conveniently located throughout town.
